Facebook Launches Free Internet Browsing for Africans

Facebook has just revealed its first mobile app that will help Africans

get online free via its initiative internet.org which was launched last year to help developing countries have access to cheap internet.

The initiative is first releasing its first app in Zambia, the app is currently android base, it gives free access to cool internet base web services totally free.

The app will allow users have access to online web services like:

• Wikipedia • Google search
• Facebook
• AccuWeather
• Go Zambia Jobs
• Kokoliko
• MAMA (Mobile Alliance for Maternal Action)
• Messenger
• WRAPP (Women’s Rights App) and
• Zambia uReport
Facebook’s boss said in his post that “Right now, only 15% of people in Zambia have access to the internet.

Soon, everyone will be able to use the internet for free to find jobs, get help with reproductive health and other aspects of health, and use tools like Facebook to stay connected with the people they love.”

But currently the free internet access will be for only Airtel Africa customers in Zambia.

Nigerians will be waiting patiently for this awesome service.

Apple earnings boosted by strong iPhone sales

Analysts were focusing on iPad sales, as overall tablet shipments slowed for the first time in 2014


Apple has reported quarterly profits of $7.75bn (£4.5bn) - up 12% on the same period last year.

The company sold 35.2 million iPhones from March to June, an increase of 13% from the same time in 2013.

The company is seeing strong growth in BRICS countries - Brazil, Russia, India, South Africa, and especially China where iPhone sales rose by 48%.

However, sales of its iPad tablet computer fell for the second quarter in a row, down 9% to 13.3 million.

In a statement,
Apple chief executive Tim Cook said he was "incredibly excited" about new operating systems for iPhones and computers as well as "new products and services that we can't wait to introduce".

I dont need to type much on this but for the benefit of those who are wanting to browse free on PC but are unable, this post should be able to atleast help you out.
Though i ve written about this before I just felt I should shared more light on it.

VPNSolid is new and at the moment, its currently surfing for free with Airtel. Free users are only allowed 2hours daily. Once you are satisfied with your browsing experience as a free user, you can then wish to upgrade or leave it. Mind you, only the torrentz server on UDP 53 works perfectly. You can check it out yourself
