ASABA— POLICE from the “A” Division, Asaba, Delta State, have
raided a group of suspected cultists during an initiation ceremony
at Umudaike Quarters, Off Ibusa Road, Asaba, and arrested 11
persons, including a 27-year-old woman.
Police Public Relations Officer, Celestina Kalu, said police swooped on the cultists following information received by the Divisional Police Officer, DPO, in charge of the police station.
She said: “A patrol team swiftly moved to the area and arrested 10 of them, and a female, aged 27 years.
“Items recovered from them include one cut-to-size locally-made pistol, one live cartridge and one battle axe. The suspects will be arraigned in court at the end of investigations.”
